10 Warning Signs of Alzheimers and Dementia

The West Fargo Public Library is hosting “10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s and Dementia” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

The one-hour program is hosted in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota and North Dakota and North Dakota Health & Human Services. The event will cover typical age-related changes, common warning signs of Alzheimer’s, how to approach someone about memory concerns, early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis, the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

This event is free and open to the public.

“Roughly 6.7 million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s right now,” Adult and Patron Services Manager Kirsten Henagin said. “We hope this event will help empower people in our area to take proactive steps toward understanding and addressing the disease in themselves or their family members.”
