Senior Safety Resources

The West Fargo Fire Department has a variety of services available to senior residents in West Fargo. Seniors can schedule a home safety checklist with a non-intrusive home walk-through, receive fire extinguisher training, smoke alarm maintenance checks, emergency contact information magnets and more!

Home Safety Checklist

Senior residents can schedule a home safety checklist appointment with one of the West Fargo Fire Department's Fire Marshals. During this non-intrusive home walk-through, crews will provide safety tips as well as conduct smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector maintenance.

To schedule a home safety checklist walk-through, contact the West Fargo Fire Department at 701-515-5600.

Emergency Contact Magnet

If an emergency health event happens at home, having a one-page summary of vital information can help our crews be more effective. It can also help ensure that loved ones are contacted. The West Fargo Fire Department offers free emergency contact magnets that can help emergency medical personnel administer potentially life-saving treatments.

Magnets are available to print online here or for free at the West Fargo Fire Department's Headquarters (1201 10th Ave. E.).

To request a magnet, contact the West Fargo Fire Department at 701-515-5600.
