The West Fargo Fire Department's team of Fire Inspectors are assigned code compliance inspections based on either the geographical area or the type of building to be inspected. In West Fargo, all commercial, industrial, public assembly, government and multifamily (more than six units) are inspected twice a year. 

The department utilizes a paperless inspections system, which reduces cost and resources while tracking data and improving accuracy. For occupancies with a fire suppression system, a third party compliance engine is utilized to track those records and inspections. This also increases our rates of compliance with annual inspections.
