West Fargo Police Department consists of sworn police officers, dispatchers, and support staff. The Police Department encorporates many programs for our community. For the youth, D.A.R.E.is taught in 5th grade. Youth Academy is available for sophomores through seniors. Citizen Police Academy was recently started and allows citizens from every walk of life to see what police work is all about. Starting in March of 2003, i-Safe is being taught to 6th graders in the West Fargo School District. Internet safety is a very important topic to discuss with West Fargo youth. Crime Free Housing allows owners of rental properties to do background checks on prospective applicants. The Truck Regulatory Officer ensures that our roadways stay safe and well maintained.
