Main Avenue/Sheyenne St Signal Lights Damaged

Two signals on Main Ave were damaged this afternoon on 12-30-2009. The signal located at Main Avenue and Sheyenne Street will remain on flash until at least Monday, January 4th, 2010. the damaged caused a short which may have damaged several electronic systems. A factory representative will be on site Monday to assist with the repair of the signal.

A damaged signal head from each intersection of Sheyenne Street and First Street were removed and new ones are on order. Engineers from West Fargo Public Works have verified that the current arrangement of signal head are still within standards set by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Press Release-Injury Accident 08/31/10 On August 31st, 2010, at approximately 1720hrs, officers of the West Fargo Police Department and FM Ambulance personel responded to an injury accident at 6th St E and 13th Ave E in West Fargo.

Press Release - Injury Accident 8-19-2010 On 8/19/2010 at 8:09 PM West Fargo Officers were dispatched to an injury accident located at intersection of 12th Avenue Northwest and County Road 19. The driver of the striking vehicle, Eric Bender of Mapelton and passenger Marcos Garcia of Fargo were transported to Sanford ER due to their injuries. Driver of the vehicle that was struck, Anthony Loeppky of West Fargo, was taken to a medical facility by a friend.

West Fargo Police to Crack Down on Drunk Driving 8-13-2010 West Fargo, ND – The West Fargo Police Department will be conducting saturation patrols from August 20 through September 6 as part of a nationwide enforcement campaign during the last three weeks of summer called Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest. Additional officers will be assigned during the enforcement period to locate and arrest impaired drivers. Funding for the project is provided to law enforcement agencies across North Dakota through the North Dakota Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The West Fargo Police Department hopes that by promoting public awareness of the risks of impaired driving, alcohol related crashes can be reduced or eliminated.

Special Enforcement During Fair Week Nets Six Arrests 7/29/10 West Fargo Police Officers made six arrests during Fair Week as part of the Federal 410 Saturation Program.
