Press Release Injury Accident
On 9-3-2013 at approximately 6:50 AM West Fargo Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Veterans Blvd. and 31st Avenue for a vehicle vs. motorcycle injury accident. A southbound motorcycle was in the left lane and another southbound vehicle was in the right lane. The vehicle in the right lane was turning right to go west on 31st Avenue, as the vehicle turned right, a SUV that was on 31st avenue facing east was waiting at the stop sign, waiting to make a left hand turn to go north on Veterans Blvd. As the SUV pulled out to turn left onto Veterans Blvd, the driver of the SUV didn't see the southbound motorcycle in the left lane and stopped in the intersection, the driver of the motorcycle put on it's brakes and then laid the motorcyle down, sliding underneath the SUV. FM Ambulance just happen to be driving by, moments after the crash had occurred and attended to the injured motorcycle driver. The motorcycle driver was identified as Christopher McCrackin 23 YOA of Fargo, the other driver involved was Casey Davidson 29 YOA was from West Fargo. The driver of the motorcycle suffered some broken bones and a head injury, he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, he was transported to Essentia Hospital. The status of the severity of his injuries are unknown at this time. The driver of the SUV was uninjured and cited for failure to yield.
