 Minimum Qualifications for Patrol Officers
  • Candidates must possess an associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field of study or have two years college (60 semester/ 90 quarter credits) in a related field of study from an accredited college
  • Must have attended a police skills training in North Dakota, Minnesota, or equivalent recognized by the North Dakota POST Board.
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age at time of testing
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have no felony convictions
  • Must not be subject to the restrictions or prohibitions as set by The Lautenberg Amendment of the Gun Control Act of 1968. 
  • Must successfully pass applicable Police entrance exam
